Art is the best way for different cultures to verge on each other and we have, with good will, to make this path for the rest of the european citizens.
Extremely happy that I have met all of you.
As a new addition to the team I didn't know what to expect. However i was really excited to participate. Many people from around Europe, all sharing the same concerns about Europe's future, created a really creative friendly atmosphere for us to discuss our opinions. Meetings like this should take place more often so that many more people all together bring Europe to another level.
Solution comes from us! Thanks for that amazing experience... I think now we have some tools to make Europe a nice home for everyone!
It is incredible how self-centered and selfish we become over the years. A most usual phenomenon ( at least in my city) is seeing people with their headphones on walking while looking down or even worse when they are on the bus. They don’t care about what’s going on around them. They just want to go to their destination using their “headphone-bubble” where they feel safe and secure.
Yet the past three months I felt blessed and extremely lucky for being able to participate in a European program where I managed to overcome all these beliefs I described before. For me, seeing young people from some European countries, discussing about social problems, joking and fooling around with each other even though we only knew each other for some hours and coexist harmoniously in the same room for many hours, made me rearrange my personal beliefs. Gave me hope for many different things. Political things, social incidents and so many others that maybe there is a chance to change at some point. I had the time of my life with people I won’t probably see ever again in my life despite the fact that I want to so badly. And maybe this was the liberating element that gave all of us who lived such an experience all those amazing and why not (I will dare to say it…) life-changing moments.
And after all this time that I emptied my bags from those two trips, I cannot free my mind from all those incredible and amazing moments I lived, all the wonderful things I did. I can’t…? I don’t want to…? You see, I don’t care! The important thing is that I had the luck to be a part of those experiences and this is all that matters to me. Being in a conference room discussing about volunteering and how we can improve it, taking selfies on a roof and drinking while next to you some others do yoga, walking in the narrow yet crowded streets of Barcelona, parading and celebrating for European Union in the streets of Warsaw, swimming at night at Barceloneta, learning for the history of Poland and the list has no ending.
For me, if I had to conclude all these in one sentence, I would say the following: food for thought, the feelings I got, forget it I cannot.
